  • MacMillan Reassigned to Brampton 

    ST. JOHN'S, NL (November 1, 2015) – Montreal Canadiens and St. John’s IceCaps General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have reassigned forward Mark MacMillan to the Brampton Beast of the ECHL. MacMillan was scoreless in one game with the IceCaps and three games with the Beast so far this season. The Penticton, B.C. native was a fourth-round draft pick of the Canadiens in 2010. Named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference defensive forward of the year in 2014-15 with the University of North Dakota, MacMillan was signed to a two-year NHL entry level contract in April, 2015.   • Rookies Shine as IceCaps Shade Phantoms 3-2 

    Allentown, PA – Rookie Michael McCarron fired the winner at 8:49 of the third period to lift the St. John’s IceCaps to a 3-2 win over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Friday at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA. Sven Andrighetto and Charles Hudon also scored for the IceCaps, while Bud Holloway chalked up a pair of assists to move into second place in the AHL scoring race. Freshman netminder Zach Fucale kicked out 23 shots to improve his win-loss record to 4-0. The IceCaps play the Hershey Bears Saturday night (8:35 PM NT).
