The IceCaps had a successful week on the road picking up four of a possible six points. The three divisional contests saw St. John’s split a series with Syracuse, and top the Rochester Americans – who they’ll face this coming weekend at Mile One Centre to kick-off an eight-game home stand. IceCaps forward Jacob de la Rose is on a four-game point streak (3G, 1A).

Wednesday March 8, 2017 | Syracuse 4 vs. St. John’s 2

SYRACUSE, NY –  The St. John’s IceCaps were unable to catch the Syracuse Crunch in a 4-2 loss on Wednesday night at the Oncenter War Memorial Arena.

The Crunch potted a power play tally with under a minute left in the first frame to take the lead, and they would add another marker with a man-advantage just 1:44 into the second.

Friday, March 10th, 2017 | St. John’s 3 vs. Rochester 2

ROCHESTER, NY – Bobby Farnham scored the game-winning goal to lift the St. John’s IceCaps over the Rochester Americans 3-2 on Friday Night at the Blue Cross Arena.

The Amerks kicked off the scoring with an early first period marker from Alex Nylander to take the lead.

Saturday, March 11th, 2017 | St. John’s 3 vs. Syracuse 2 – ot

SYRACUSE, NY – Charles Hudon’s breakaway overtime goal gave the St. John’s IceCaps a 3-2 win over the Syracuse Crunch Saturday night at the Onondaga County War Memorial Arena in Syracuse, New York.

After the Crunch took an early first period lead, Chris Terry tied things up for the IceCaps with his team-leading 23rd goal. Jacob de la Rose’s second-period shorthanded marker staked St. John’s to a 2-1 lead. The Crunch tied the game early in third period to set the stage for Hudon’s overtime exploits..
