The IceCaps look to stretch their winning streak to three when they continue their five-game road trip Wednesday night in Albany against the Devils.

St. John’s has won four-of-five overall and has started their road trip with a 2-1-0-0 record. The IceCaps sit 14th overall in the Eastern Conference, 12 points back of the eighth place Hershey Bears. Albany, meanwhile, has lost five consecutive games in regulation and has fallen to 12th in the East, six points off the pace for the final playoff spot.

St. John’s is 16-16-0-1 away from home while Albany is 11-11-0-6 at Times Union Center.

ICECAPS LAST GAME: MAR 24: STJ 4 MCH 3 Ben Maxwell fired a pair of goals as the St. John’s IceCaps shaded the Manchester Monarchs 4-3 Sunday afternoon at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester. Eric O’Dell had a goal and two assists for St. John’s, while Aaron Gagnon collected three helpers. O’Dell now has a team record five-game goal-scoring streak, while Gagnon has picked up points in 10 straight games, tying Paul Postma’s team record. Josh Lunden picked up a pair of assists for St. John’s.

DEVILS LAST GAME: MAR 24: BRI 4 ALB 2 In the final game of their six-game road trip, the Albany Devils lost, 4-2, to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Sunday at Webster Bank Arena. Mike Sislo and David Wohlberg both scored and Keith Kinkaid stopped 27 of 31 shots. Bridgeport’s Jordan Hill led his team with a pair of goals, while Sean Backman and Ty Wishart each potted power-play tallies. In goal, Rick DiPietro denied 19 of 21 attempts. QUICK HITS: F Eric O’Dell notched six points (3G, 3A) in three games last weekend and extended his goal-scoring streak to a club record five games. O’Dell also surpassed Jason King’s mark for goals in a season (22), scoring his 22nd, 23rd and 24th tallies… F Aaron Gagnon tied a franchise record by extending his point streak to 10 games on Sunday. The mark was originally set by Paul Postma from Dec. 4 to Dec. 31 of 2011. During his streak, the B.C. native has a whopping 15 points (7G, 8A), and has gone more than a full month since his last game without a point… F Josh Lunden picked up a career-high three points (1G, 2A) in Saturday’s 4-1 win at Portland and followed that up with a two assist game in Sunday’s 4-3 win at Manchester. In his last five outings, Lunden has seven points (3G, 4A)… F Kael Mouillierat has seven points (2G, 5A) in his last six games… St. John’s is 13-for-60 (21.7%) on the power play and 36/41 (87.8%) on the penalty kill over the last 10 games… The IceCaps are 2-7-0-0 on Wednesdays this season… With Sunday’s 4-3 win, St. John’s improved to 17-8-1-4 (.650) in one-goal games.
