Molson Coors and IceCaps extend corporate partnership Posted by IceCaps on
Danny Williams, President and CEO of the St. John’s IceCaps, is pleased to announce that Molson Coors Canada has extended their corporate partnership with the hockey club.
Molson Coors Canada was a premier founding partner in the IceCaps inaugural 2011-12 season, and has agreed to renew that commitment through the 2013-14 season. With the announcement of the agreement, Coors Light returns as the Official Beer of the St. John’s IceCaps. And Molson Coors remains the exclusive supplier of beer for Mile One Centre.
Mr. Williams expressed his pleasure in extending the agreement with Molson Coors, one of the great corporate partners the team worked with in 2011-12.
“We are delighted to renew our partnership with Molson Coors for the coming years,” said Mr. Williams. “The corporate community has really embraced the St. John’s IceCaps, as is clearly demonstrated through the tremendous partnerships we have established. We made a commitment to our partners that a relationship with the team would pay dividends and the success of the first season most certainly proved to be very valuable and worthwhile for our sponsors.
“Molson Coors was one of the first to come onboard in our inaugural year and they have been a great asset to the organization. We look forward to the continuation of this mutually beneficial arrangement.”
Molson Coors Canada has been a strong supporter of hockey in St. John’s and across Canada, and was a corporate partner of the St. John’s Maple Leafs for 14 seasons from 1991-2005. Molson Coors prides itself on delivering a quality product, just like the IceCaps delivered in their first year.
“We’re obviously very pleased to continue our partnership with the IceCaps,” said Jason Hull, Sales Manager for Molson Coors Canada in Newfoundland and Labrador. “Molson has a long history of being integrated into the community in which we work, and our partnership with the IceCaps is a continuation of that commitment.
“Molson Coors is involved with professional hockey all across Canada, so much in fact that Molson and hockey are ingrained into the fabric of the country. The IceCaps provided tremendous thrills in their inaugural season. Molson Coors was proud to be there to share in that excitement, and we are very pleased to be able to continue to share in their successes in the future.”
The St. John’s IceCaps reached the Eastern Conference Finals in the club’s inaugural season, and sold out all 46 of its home games. The IceCaps are the proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets.
