Jets agree to terms with John Albert Posted by IceCaps on

The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have agreed to terms with forward John Albert on a new contract. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Albert, 24, played in 24 games last season with the St. John’s IceCaps where he scored five points (3G,2A) and collected 10 penalty minutes. In his rookie season of 2011-12, the native of Cleveland, OH appeared in 64 games with the IceCaps where he scored 27 points (9G,18A) and had 28 penalty minutes. In 15 Calder Cup games that season, Albert scored five points (2G,3A) and collected eight penalty minutes. Albert was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the sixth round, 175th overall in the 2007 NHL Draft.
