IceCaps Win AHL Marketing Awards Posted by IceCaps on
The St. John’s IceCaps organization was honoured with two significant awards during the annual American Hockey League Marketing Meetings which concluded today in Cleveland.
The IceCaps won both the Sponsorship Sales Department of the Year Award and the Most Unique Sponsorship Package or Entitlement Award for the 2012-13 season. The hockey club was also among a select group of teams to win team achievement awards in the categories of: 15 Per Cent Growth in Corporate Cash; 90 Per Cent Season Ticket Renewal; and 450 New Season Ticket Sales.
Danny Williams, President and CEO of the IceCaps, says the organization takes great pride in being recognized for its marketing efforts.
“These awards, just like those the IceCaps received from the St. John’s Board of Trade last winter, are a testament to the talent, creativity and hard work of our front office staff,” said Mr. Williams.
The IceCaps claimed the Sponsorship Sales Department of the Year Award thanks to many significant achievements including finishing first in AHL cash sponsorship and recording 223% growth in revenue, related to promotional inventory.
The Most Unique Sponsorship Package or Entitlement Award acknowledged the IceCaps extremely successful Turn Back the Tide campaign which promoted understanding of climate change and energy efficiency in Newfoundland and Labrador.
