IceCaps recall Carrozzi from Ontario Reign
The St. John’s IceCaps today announced they have recalled goaltender Chris Carrozzi from the Ontario Reign of the ECHL.
Carozzi, 22, has played in 29 games with the Reign this season earning a 17-6-4 record, 2.27 goals against average and 0.922 save percentage. This is his second recall from the IceCaps this season – the first on Mar. 8/12 where he acted as a back-up goaltender for six games.
He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the sixth round, 154th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Carrozzi will join the team in Norfolk in time for its game Wednesday versus the Admirals.
