IceCaps announce special jersey promotion
The St. John’s IceCaps are pleased to announce details of their “Shirts Off Our Backs” promotion that will commence during the Feb. 11-12 series versus the Binghamton Senators.
The IceCaps will wear special St. Patrick’s Day jerseys during their March 17 game against the Manchester Monarchs. At the end of the March 17 game, these jerseys will be presented to 26 lucky fans, who will have the opportunity to win one during the next seven home games. Beginning Saturday, Feb. 11, at least three winning numbers will be randomly selected from the regular 50/50 draw during each game, with all the winners being invited to the March 17 game to receive their jerseys directly from the players immediately following the game.
Fans can enter the draw for the special edition jerseys by purchasing 50/50 tickets at the following home games:
• Binghamton – Saturday, Feb. 11 and Sunday, Feb. 12
• Hershey – Friday Mar. 9 and Saturday, Mar. 10
• Hamilton – Tuesday, Mar. 13 and Wednesday, Mar. 14
• Manchester – Saturday, Mar. 17
Draws will take place at each game, with all jerseys being presented at the March 17 game versus Manchester.
“The Shirts Off Our Backs promotion is always a hit with fans across pro hockey,” said IceCaps COO and AHL Governor Glenn Stanford. “For the St. John’s IceCaps, as a first-year franchise, we thought a special commemorative jersey would be a great way to reward the fans who have supported us so well in our inaugural season. The jerseys the players will wear on March 17 will be given away that night to a number of lucky IceCaps fans. Newfoundlanders and Labradorians hold a special connection to St. Patrick’s Day, so it’s fitting that’s the jersey we present to our fans.
“It’s a great way to say Thank You to the people who support us and who have made our initial season a tremendous success.”
Each player on the IceCaps game roster, including injured players, as of March 17 will present their game authentic jersey.
The jerseys will be green with a metallic silver IceCaps crest on the front and a clover on each shoulder. They will also feature silver clovers and white, black, and silver piping on the arms and torso.
