Like many American Hockey League teams, the St. John’s IceCaps auditioned a handful of players on ATOs – Amateur Tryout contracts – towards the end of the season.

Defencemen Simon Bourque and Tom Parisi, along with forwards Daniel Audette, Jeramiah Addison and Cory Ward all finished the campaign with St. John’s.

Bourque, 19, had an assist in three games, while fellow blueliner Tom Parsisi, 22, had a helper in five outings.

Twenty-two-year-old Ward led the group with three assists in eight games; Addison, 19, had an assist in four contests, while 20-year-old Audette was scoreless in four games.

Bottom line: To varying degrees, all these youngsters appear to be potential IceCaps next season.
